DevOps Engineer – London or Remote (Up to 71K + Generous Ben)

Foundations Executive Search brings to the market an amazing opportunity for those with an infrastructure background and an interest in cloud technologies to further their responsibility and personal learning surrounding AWS technologies, in simply a supportive environment.

This role is working closely with internal teams and has an internal focus but also a necessary engagement with its selected partners. We would say this would be fantastic for those that may have around 3 years of experience and who are looking for something truly fulfilling.

The role itself is to migrate, support, and evolve the current infrastructure within the business; working closely with the software team to also improve the best DevOps practices.  

A breakdown of responsibilities includes:

• Pipelines and deployment using standard DevOps practices
• Solid experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
• Deep knowledge of all facets of automation and systems architecture on Linux 
• Commercial hands-on software development or systems architecture, implementation and ongoing automation experience in a previous role
• Experience with Python, Bash or more general-purpose programming language (e.g. Ruby, Groovy)
• Experience with AWS, Azure and other cloud-based platforms
• Experience deploying and running metrics collection platforms such as Prometheus, Splunk or Kibana
• Understanding of open source solutions that enable the implementation of highly distributed, scalable, durable, and performant platforms such as Kafka and Cassandra
• Knowledge of both relational databases and various NoSQL based data storage solutions (Informix, PostgreSQL and MySQL a plus)
• Well-versed and experienced with open source tools commonly used to build continuous integration/delivery solutions, such as Git, Maven, Selenium, Gradle, Ansible, YUM, Jenkins and Docker
