Lead Technical Engineer – London – Circa £65,000pa (Networking – Sales/Presales)

An exciting and important opportunity has arisen due to a recent surge of funding, following this successful company’s recent acquisition.

As a Lead technical engineer, the subject matter expert; you are the primary resource for the Sales team as they secure new agreements with clientele but also as a senior member of the IT team in London, you will design and lead the London IT roadmap for the business and have full exposure to key stakeholders and global initiatives.

Responsibilities:

-       Visit or call potential clients with the sales team to discuss viable solutions

-       Design network and wireless documentation for sales proposals

-       Being SME for technology offerings 

-       Attend meetings/advisory for the Global IT Team

-       Provide backup support to other IT members

The ideal background and Technical understanding:

Ideally, someone who has a background in either technical sales or presales, within the networking industry. Typically, self-motivated and conscious of helping others around them, but also someone who is comfortable adapting to an ever-changing environment and embracing new technology offerings.

We are looking for specifically:

-       up to a CCNP level of experience

-       Understanding of structured cabling standards (CAT6, CAT6A, Fibre)

-       Build standards and requirements of Comms rooms

-       Previous Management Experience

-       Sales Experience / Stakeholder engagement experience
