Java Software Engineer – Perm

A Data Analytics start-up in Oxford who are experts in optimizing & automating engineering processes are experiencing tremendous growth and are looking to add an experienced back-end Java Engineer to their team, reporting into the Head of Engineering and working closely with C level.

The business is adding to various areas of their technical team and now requires an experienced Java Software Engineer to work on a number of exciting & data-intensive software projects they have planned. As well as this, you will also be supporting/providing maintenance to an existing SaaS product which enables companies to increase reliability across asset/components.

Due to this role being within a start-up, you will get the chance to work within a varying role within a small team that will give you the chance to learn from and work with some of the best minds in the business!

Key skills and experience:

• Previous experience within a Data-Intensive project/company with some Machine Learning knowledge/experience
• Java back-end software engineering expertise with ElasticSearch, Spring, REST experience
• Desirable – Scientific background/education with knowledge of JavaScript
