The role itself offers a lot to the right character and lends itself perfectly to those who have been round the block a little in their software development. 

Leading a team of software developers by example, the role also involves the development of strategies within the team and to improve the overall quality of service it delivers both internally and externally. 

An overview of the role’s responsibilities:

• SCRUM / Agile environment
• Development experience at a senior level with strong and as a successful technical lead – Ensuring high coding standards (C# & VB.NET - .NET and .NET Core)
• Team motivation; 121 meetings and identifying training needs as required (Internally or externally)
• Passionate about Software Development with a general thirst for digital knowledge and a significant interest in new emerging technologies 
• Driving the strategic direction of the client’s products & services taking into account emerging and legacy technologies 
• The division of strategies that be collaboratively carried out by the team – to implement improvements to products, services, processes, and knowledge sharing internally
• Facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team
• Innovation and new technology – Cultivating and expanding the culture of thoughts and ideas across the team and wider business and research into modernisation of existing technology
• DevOps experience - System and component level architecture design.
• Stakeholder presentation skills and working closely with product owners
• Problem solving and awareness of occasional tight deadlines

Leading, motivating and assurance of quality is an important part of this role; the general split is with an approx. portion of “hands on time” being 60% of the time; it’s focus being on product roadmaps, architecture and technology innovation. 

• Permanent position – Circa £80,000 + a whole range of benefits
